Ethan D. Baker, an attorney specializing in entertainment law and intellectual property, will provide an Entertainment Law Seminar at 4 p.m. on Thursday, December 2 in the Auditorium in the Forum Building on the college's main campus in Livonia, Haggerty Road between Six and Seven Mile Roads.

With increasing interest and growth in the entertainment industry in metropolitan Detroit, especially in television, film and video production, many questions have arisen among Schoolcraft College students and the general public regarding entertainment law and intellectual, or creative, property.

Dr. Riccardo Selva, director of jazz studies, has invited Ethan D. Baker, J.D., to speak to students and the community about this important topic. Baker, who now practices in Troy, MI, will share the knowledge and experience he gained in this area while practicing law in Los Angeles and North Hollywood for many years.
