Red Cross Blood Drive March 9 at Radcliff Center

Published: 3/1/2011

GARDEN CITY, MI--Schoolcraft College is sponsoring an American Red Cross Blood Drive on Wednesday, March 9, 2011, from 12 noon - 6 p.m. at the Radcliff Center in Garden City. Everyone who donates blood that day will be automatically entered to win a year's worth of free groceries from Kroger ($5,000 value).

Winter storms in the area have taken a tremendous toll on the blood supply. The local Red Cross and area hospitals have an urgent need for blood donors. You can register and make an appointment through the eDonor option at www.redcrossblood.org and enter Sponsor Code: schoolcraftrad. Walk-in donations are greatly appreciated, too.

Individuals who are at least 17 years old (or 16 with parental consent), meet minimum weight and height requirements (110 pound minimum, based on height), and are generally in good health may be eligible to donate blood. Donors are asked to bring their American Red Cross blood donor card or other form of picture identification with them.

The Radcliff Center is located at 1751 Radcliff Street in Garden City, just south of Ford Road between Wildwood and Venoy Roads.
