How to Transfer

Many students know they want to transfer, but aren’t sure of the process. Once you decide on a transfer institution, use the MACRAO website to link to information about application deadlines and procedures. Most institutions will allow you to apply online – check them out on the MACRAO website.

After applying to your selected college or university, request official transcripts from all previously attended schools, including Schoolcraft College and your high school, to be mailed to the receiving institution. At Schoolcraft, you can request official transcripts through the Admissions and Enrollment Center. If you have met the MACRAO Transfer Agreement guidelines, be sure to request the MACRAO stamp on your transcript.

Transfer guides, articulation agreements and the MACRAO Transfer Agreement are all tools to help you transfer – a counselor or academic advisor can help you understand and use these tools for a successful transfer. You can either make an appointment with a counselor or walk-in during office hours to meet with an academic advisor.
