CES2 6220 - Computer Numerical Controls Training

This CNC Training Program covers the essentials of operation and basic programming as it applies to CNC Milling and Turning Centers. During this turnkey program, participants will receive 160 classroom and hands-on lab hours of training. The program is divided into three segments. The first segment on Manual Machines builds fundamental skills in print reading, shop math and manual machining. Segment two consists of CNC Orientation and Operator Training and includes such topics as CNC/shop safety, loading tools, listing and entering the program, altering overrides, displaying current commands, understanding alarms, loading and unloading, and cleaning tools. Segment three completes the course with CNC Set-up/Basic Programming and encompasses CNC systems, CNC program structure, canned cycles, sub-routines and sub-programs, cutter compensation, and cutting holes. Prerequisite: participants must achieve a Michigan NCRC silver level (minimum) prior to enrollment. Additionally, participants are to successfully complete the computer assessment designed for this program.*
