CES 4303 - Fundamentals of Dementia Care - Dementia Care Certificate

Get the information professionals need to understand the basics of dementia. Distinguish the common forms of dementia including Alzheimer's disease. Develop strategies to improve communication and understand the root cause of challenging behavior. The class will conclude with a question and answer opportunity with a person living with dementia and/or his/her care partner. This class is required to complete the certificate. This class is approved for 4 continuing education contacts hours for nurses by Schoolcraft College, 4 continuing education contact hours for social workers by the Michigan Social Work Continuing Education Collaborative and 0.4 CEUs for other professionals.*
