Learn tactics to reduce pain for people living with dementia. Review the different types of pain and explore strategies to professionally interact and respond to, prevent and improve the comfort of persons living with dementia that are in pain. Prerequisite: CES 4303 Fundamentals of Dementia Care. This class is required to complete the certificate. This class is approved for 2 continuing education contacts hours for nurses by Schoolcraft College, 2 continuing education contact hours for social workers by the Michigan Social Work Continuing Education Collaborative and 0.2 CEUs for other professionals.*
