CES 4311 - Care At the End of Life - Dementia Care Certificate

Gain insight into the final stage of life, how to prepare for it, how to recognize it, and how to provide support to those experiencing it and their caregivers. Learn how to minimize physical, emotional and spiritual distress; maximize well-being; and ensure meaningful communication with the person, family and care team. Prerequisite: CES 4303 Fundamentals of Dementia Care. This class is an elective to complete the certificate. This class is approved for 4 continuing education contacts hours for nurses by Schoolcraft College, 4 continuing education contact hours for social workers by the Michigan Social Work Continuing Education Collaborative and 0.4 CEUs for other professionals.*
